縁結び地蔵

城北口にある地蔵尊。

この地は戦前まで尊宝寺、来迎寺の墓地があり、当時の城北村と篠山町を結ぶ県道の
行き止まりになっていた。
王地山地区は城北村に属していたが、篠山町への編入を機に墓地を北に拡張移転し、道路開通に至った。
この時に旧城北村と篠山町の縁を繋ぐため、墓主の精神的打撃を偲び、両墓地の間に
三河の国(愛知県）より迎えて祀ったのが「縁結び地蔵」である。
